PROBE not slacking off, resumes sidewalk clearing operations in Cebu City
Cebu City, Philippines – After a week of focusing on the demolition in Sitio Silangan 2 in barangy Tejero, the Prevention, Restoration, Order Beautification, and Enhancement (PROBE) Team of Cebu City has resumed its clearing operations on the sidewalks of the city.
Raquel Arce, PROBE Team head, confirmed this to Cebu Daily News Digital amid speculations that the team has been slacking off in their operations because it is election season.

Arce said that all the PROBE personnel were merged for last week’s demolition operation in Tejero to make it faster and safer, which is the reason why all other operations were temporarily put on hold.
But starting Monday, February 11, 2019, the PROBE team was back clearing the sidewalk from vendors.

Arce added that they will be focusing on the hotspot areas in the city such as Colon Street, Magallanes Street, the entire stretch of Osmena Boulevard including the area near the Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño, and the Plaza Sugbo area.
For violators who are registered voters, they can redeem their confiscated items like pushcarts, tables, chairs and non-perishable goods after a month and after paying a P500.00 fine.
