Sinulog World Tent City 2024 now open

CEBU CITY, Philippines — Organizers of the Sinulog sa Sugbo Philippines 2024 officially launched the World Tent City (WTC) at the South Road Properties (SRP) on Saturday, December 16.
Hotels and malls operators are some of the exhibitors in the WTC.
The event was live-streamed on the official Facebook page of the Cebu City Public Information Office.
Among the key Cebu City officials who attended the launch was Mayor Michael Rama, who arrived from Australia on the same day.
Along with the opening ceremony of the tent city, the Sinulog Pet Fun Run, the “first ever pet activity” for the Sinulog, was also launched on Saturday.
Cebu City Councilor Dondon Hontiveros, working committee for the Sinulog 2024, said in his speech that he was delighted to have a pet activity included in the Sinulog events.
“They (pets) are more than just animals, they are cherished members of our families. This event is not just about running but about creating unforgettable memories with our fur babies,” Hontiveros said.
He said that they will also offer veterinary services like free consultation, vaccination, anti-rabies, and microchipping, through the city’s Department of Veterinary Medicine and Fisheries (DVMF).
Meanwhile, Rama, in his short message, thanked those who attended the opening ceremony and said that he missed “working for Cebu City.”
