6 alleged communist rebels killed in clash vs soldiers in Bohol
At least six suspected communist rebels were killed in a firefight with soldiers in Bohol on Thursday, September 7, 2023.
The Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO) confirmed a clash between suspected members of the New People’s Army (NPA) and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in Sitio Ilaud, Barangay Campagao in Bilar town.
It reportedly happened close to 8 a.m. on Thursday, said Police Executive Master Sergeant Edwin Joseph Silagan, deputy at the Bilar Police Station.
